SOS-05: One Way Ticket To Paris

In this episode, on the heels of a high and slightly altered state in Amsterdam, I set off to Paris where I am taken aback by my experiences there. I also talk with an International Corporate Attorney named Andrea, who too, struggled with the question of Sabbatical or Suicide, only Andrea’s choice, was suicide. Andrea shares her story here in Episode 5. Please support the show for free by giving the show 5 stars in iTunes. SOS-04: The Coin Toss

In this episode, I reflect on my marriage, I discuss what it’s like stepping into the new age world of online dating and I share intimate details of my time with Lianne. Amsterdam was quite a first experience to launch this sabbatical, but I was clearly in a bit of an altered state while I was there (for a variety of reasons!). I could not decide where to go next, but I knew it was time to move on, so I decided to leave it up to the universe and flip a coin to determine my next destination. I also introduce a new element to this show, which is your stories. If you’d like to share your story, as it relates in any way to sabbatical or to suicide, please send me a message. I would love to hear from you.

Having our chat at Lianne's place.
View from Lianne's window.
After I abruptly decided to leave Lianne's.
Amsterdam is all around stunning.
Lianne at her window, welcoming me back 🙂
The girl plays multiple instruments.
The canal out Lianne's front door.
Bicycles rule the streets of Amsterdam.
Everyone rides everywhere.
Seeing 2 or 3 people on a bike at once is normal.
Like I said, everyone rides everywhere.
Cool cat.
Another cool cat I hung out with one day while Lianne was at work.
Cars are second class to bikes in Amsterdam and the cars you do see are tiny. My cool cat pal was just visiting from France and happened to be driving this bright red, GT convertible. Most people looked at his car with disgust as they pedaled by, but occasionally his car was quite the hit.
